Outright this book was heartbreaking. I turn into a weepy mess when I read books about cancer.

It was written very well, but I felt that it just missed the mark of being absolutely ground breaking. It was just short of the feelings of a thirteen year old would have, and the grief seemed that it was over exaggerated on the ex-husband's behalf. The Grandmother's emotions were, I think, spot on.
The monster was a brilliant concept, and he was so strange. His stories were horrifying.

In this Witches book Pratchett brings in the character Agnes Knit. In a way I don't think she really fills Magrat Garlic's role as Maiden very well. She has a completely different approach, and Pratchett depended heavily on Nanny Ogg's character to progress much of the plot.

This was incredibly sad, yet amazingly uplifting. This was the best book that I read in 2016!
I expect that if there is another update to the 1001 Books to Read Before you Die list, this will be added to it. Very powerful messages, and a heartbreaking protagonist.

I enjoy Gaiman's work. He has an enormous imagination that bleeds through in several formats.
This work really struck me as disturbing, and darker compared to previous books. The part about the worm seriously icked me out. It reminded me of the process of removing a tapeworm. Ewwwwww!
I really enjoyed the Hemlock family. They were similar to the sisters in American Gods.

Hard to not know a few of them. Honestly, I will never ever be able to see these iconic figures the same way. I seriously couldn't believe what I was reading, and for a while I was in some serious denial. Though now really thinking about it, doing some homework, and even more readings; I'm convinced that Dr. Max Jacobson was probably most evil fu(k3r to walk the Earth. His career spans even to authors, composers, actors, actresses, singers, poloticians, and top athletes.
You wonder why drugs are so demonized?
Well it was due to the man in the top right hand corner! I hope he roasts in hell!

First of all I had no idea what The Silmarillion was about. Several times I have tried to read it, and my paperbacks would end up flying across the room. This time though I was able to find an audio edition at my public library and it magically didn't fly. I finally figured out what it was. 'And it came to pass...' This was to much to me like the Book of Mormon; that it would infuriate me by the manner of writing. How ever Tolkien was definitely better about the olden language than Joseph Smith.

While this was interesting storyline, but this was just to short for my tastes. I didn't care much for the artist either, his lines were to sharp and shading to dark. It's one of the main reasons I don't hold with buying Graphic Novels or comics. They're over priced and/or to short. So how was I finally able to read this? Local Library of course. Now though I'm wondering if they even have the next two volumes.
I don't recommend unless you have all three volumes; if you do then knock yourself out!

Completely adorable storyline, and artstyle. Much easier to follow compared to Azumanga Daioh!
