Awesome plot, and fantastic characters. I have been pulling the idiot shtick for a good portion of my life as well. I went into reading this book not very optimistic about it, and was pleasantly surprised. It did feel a little incomplete in some places so I couldn't give it a full 5 like I really wanted to. I can say that I do prefer this series compared to Mercy Thomson though.
