Claymore, Vol. 1: Silver-Eyed Slayer (Claymore, #1)Claymore, Vol. 1: Silver-Eyed Slayer by Norihiro Yagi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Starting off the series with Chapter 1: The Silvered Eyed Slayer.
The first scene we see is a youngish girl taking off the head of a monster. Then we are taken to the scene of a village that have had Yoma(demons) eating out the guts of six victims. The village chief has called in the organization thus sending out a Claymore. An assassin whom can take down these demons. The reason Claymores can effectively fight Yoma is because they are half Yoma themselves.
Arrives on the scene, Clair, the current number forty-seven which is the lowest ranking in the organization. A boy named Raki is fascinated, and is somewhat a key character to the series. So pay attention to him. This series is also rapidly introduces new characters so you can't skim through without having to keep up.
Cheers and Happy Reading!

Claymore: The Slashers, Vol. 5 (Calymore, #5)Claymore: The Slashers, Vol. 5 by Norihiro Yagi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We start off with Chapter 22: Marked for Death, Pt. 5.
This volume tells of Teresa's demise at the hand of the awakened number 2, Precilla. This was a spectacular and depressing scene. From a protagonist's point of view this is traumatic, but as an art lover I can appreciate the scope of this death scene. Yagi-san dedicated a large amount of detail just for this scene. Come and admire the very beginnings of Clair's story. I wish you very inspirational readings with a touch of art appreciation.

Claymore: The Endless Gravestones, Vol. 6 (Claymore, #6)Claymore: The Endless Gravestones, Vol. 6 by Norihiro Yagi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We start off this action packed volume with Chapter 28: The Slashers, Pt. 4.
Clair has been snubbed and we learn how the ranking system works in this plot universe. Denivive, Helene, Miria, and Clair are fighting a male awakened being. It's left up to Phantom Miria to guard her subordinates while they regenerate their bodies. When all looks like true despair Clair truly shines in this fight. Many spreads were very nice. I hope that everyone can find the beauty in this grotesquely violent manga.
Cheers!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We start off this volume with Chapter 40: Fit for Battle, Pt. 4.
Clair is thrust into battle soon after Ilena gave Clair her arm. It gives her a rough time when she is fighting an awakened Ophelia. Ophelia gives Clair the opportunity to train herself by killing her while she still has her last shred of humanity left.
Meanwhile the organization is looking for Clair, and have made the assumption that she has deserted. They send out a team where Clair just so happens to arrive at in her search of Raki.
This volume we also get to meet Riful of the West and her underling Dauf. Don't miss out on this action packed volume to learn of the Abysmal Ones.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This volume starts off with Chapter 46: The Deep Abyss of Purgatory, Pt. 1.
At the end of the last volume Riful of the West spilled the beans that she knew the whereabouts of Pricilla. Clair literally her composure, and demands that Riful tells her where that woman is. Riful challenges Clair if she can land one blow on her that she will tell her.
Later in the volume though is probably my favorite because the old team is reunited, and induct a new member. This is also one of the more confusing Arcs because there is just so much going on. Don't miss out on one of my favorite volumes of the series.

Claymore: The Battle of the North, Vol. 10 (Claymore, #10)Claymore: The Battle of the North, Vol. 10 by Norihiro Yagi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We start off this volume off with Chapter 52: The War in the North Pt. 3.
Twenty-four Claymores have shown up in the Northern town of Pieta. Some of them don't even know why they are there and are troubled by the large size of the group.
Clair and Jean have arrived, and receives a very surprising welcome from Helene and Deneve. Phantom Miria also shows to be the lead commander in the operation. This is when they start fighting the awakened beings in earnest. The battle is very long and gory for the peons. It seems that Isley sent only three of his minions to reek havoc on the mountain pass town.
Just a note I wouldn't eat anything before reading this particular volume as it does have a lot of violence.
Cheers!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We start off with Chapter 58: The Invasion of Pieta Pt. 2.
Jumping right into one of Clair's biggest fights she partially awakens turning her legs into partial horse and prosthetic knee attachments. Yagi-san certainly made this look cool. I was impressed with the metallic design used.
Pushed to her absolute limits to destroy the Silver Lion Clair awakens all four of her limbs and totters on the brink of never returning to humanity.
Very action packed volume that is just about the time that the anime ended. Very sad. I want a second season.

This is the youngest we have seen Theresa. I also really liked Number 5's back story, and reunion with her awakened sister.
Later in the volume we come across a team left in the North who gets a newbie recruit, who runs into the seven missing warriors, after her team-leaders are wiped out.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

We start this volume off with Chapter 73.
The current storyline revisits the Holy City Rabona, with Miata and current number 47. They are quickly discovered and on the run. They are helped by a young soldier named Syd, who leads them to a man named Galk. They have a conversation as to the reason they are in the Holy City, and discover that there may be a yoma in the city. An intriguing story line so far that you shouldn't miss.

We start off with Chapter 78: The Rebellious Warriors.
Back to the battle, in the Holy City Rabona, Clair and Galatea are in a three party battle all trying to kill each other. Old warriors vs. New Warriors vs. An Awakened Being.
I was very surprised by this volumes twist and I wasn't expecting the plot to take this turn. Very pleasing art aesthetics. Bravo!

Starting off this volume with Chapter 90: A World Without Order.

Elsewhere Clair's group is on the trail of Riful, but they have to get past Dauf to speak to her. In the process Uma loses her leg and is left with Cynthia while Clair continues on. She finds the melded sisters Rafeala and Lucilea. Former top two claymores that were a failed experiment. They are in a comatose slumber on the cliff of a double awakening. Clair is drawn in mentally, and given the memories of Rafeala. We will now find out how deeply the organizations corruption really goes. Cheers and Happy Reading!

Gorgeously terrifying art style.

We begin with Chapter 102: The Akuma(devil) That Swooped Down.
The Abysmal Eaters have been set loose, and show their fearsome abilities. The drive to eat. Sending monsters after monsters. This just will not end well.
Meanwhile elsewhere Galetea reveals to Helene and Deneve Phantom Miria's plan to take down the organization. Then off into the action we shall go afterwards.
Good gods this has to be the crowning volume in this series because it has left me with my jaw on the floor, and my eyes wishing they could be burned out because what has been seen can not be unseen.

Claymore, Vol. 21 (Claymore, #21)Claymore, Vol. 21 by Norihiro Yagi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We start off with Chapter 114: The Phantom Charges.
The organization wasn't counting on its entire force of warriors to turn on them with the help of Phantom Miria. Whom they presumed dead. All is chaos in the belly of the organization, most decide to escape since there would be little hope for them if they stayed.
What the phantom wasn't expecting was three abominations to be brought back to life and then be set against them. The new characters are wonderfully gruesome. Interesting themes came out of this volume and I can't wait until the next comes out.
