Fairy Tail, Vol. 9: Fading WizardFairy Tail, Vol. 9: Fading Wizard by Hiro Mashima
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

By far my favorite volume in the Phantom Lord Arc starting with Chapter 66: Like-minded (though in Japanese it's translated as Comrades.)
Master Makarov has recovered somewhat, and has cast the ultimate spell of the guild, Fairy Law.
In the light of the spell Master Jose's shades are gone.
Meanwhile in the underbelly of Phantom's Ruins, Natsu and Gajell duke it out. Screaming questions of where they learned their Dragonslayer magic, and come to find out the dragons who taught them disappeared on the very same day. They puzzel over this and vow to finish their fight another day. Lucy feeling guilty over causing the guilds destruction, but Master Makarov puts her mind at ease making her cry form the the relief.
Continuing in Chapter 67: My Decision
With the war over between the guilds, comes the slow restoration of the guild house. Lucy writes her mother telling her all of the goings ons, and her doubts of why her father would want her to come home. She leaves , and the team raids her apartment discovering her not there but several unsent letters. Erza figures that Lucy has went to confront her father, and the group decides to follow her.
Lots more happens during this volume, but you'll have to read for yourself.
Cheers and Happy Reading!
